Woman Profile

A Painting composition re-visited. Trying again, a new way of working, searching, trying to find myself. A battle with finding the realness, without the obvious realism, and not dependent on painting "brushstrokes" to differentiate it from what photo manipulation can do these days. it's a painful process and I'm still not happy. I may continue to re-work this...after i return from my trip to LA.

Hi James!

Nice work on the old Blog. I hope you and your family are doing well. I haven't been doing much art work lately not even sketching or doodling. Strange. I've been reavaluating things now that I've got a little one. The world is a very different place and I'm still figuring out how to approach what matters most to me.

Keep up the great work!

Latha - thanks...it's too realistic for my taste, but i liked finding the fleshiness of her skin/forms.

Rob - good to see you my friend. well, i know you've got priorities. i've taken breaks here and there too. my personal project is on hold at the moment and i'm focused on painting at the moment.
